CityScape

For this activity, we learned about Vincent Van Gough and we talked about his life as an artist we talked about one of his most famous pieces the Starry Night and we talked about the different techniques that he used and what his painting might be about. So what we had to do was get a black piece of construction paper and we had to get tissue paper and create a skyline with the tissue paper. We also had to add details to the sky like in Starry Night. So I made a city skyline with a moon made out of construction paper. I also used oil pastels to add details to my buildings and create the details in my skyline.
Extension Activity: To deepen the learning experience and encourage collaboration, students will create a large class mural inspired by The Starry Night. Building on their individual artwork, this activity allows them to work together to integrate techniques and themes discussed during the initial lesson.
