Fingerprinting Tree

Activity: This was Cameryn Logan and I'd the lesson that we presented to our class as our lesson. What we did was you got a piece of drawing paper, brown and orange crayons, and a plate of paint with red and yellow paint. We traced our arms and our fingers with a pencil and colored it in with a brown crayon. Then we mix the red and the yellow paint to create orange paint. Then we drew on our leaf piles and colored them on with the orange crayon. Then we took our thumbs and pressed them onto the paper to create the leaves on the tree. We filled out our trees, and leaf piles and a couple of leaves falling.
Extension Activity: The students can learn about why leaves change color and they can do a science lesson on why the leaves change color. The students could also go on a scavenger hunt and find different types of colors of leaves and different textures and shapes. They can compare and contrast the leaves and learn about why and how they can change color.
